For the people that have no other solutions left, sleep drugs should do the trick. Ideally, this treatment should only be used for short periods of time, just to get the body get used to a regular sleep schedule. Once you’ve gotten enough rest and, you should try to get back to regular sleeping methods.

The drugs which you can find over the counter are used by a lot of people that have lots of problems sleeping. Not becoming dependant on them should always be a worry and the warnings from FDA say that the risks are considerable and that many people depend on them to sleep.

There are two main types of medicinal sleep aids. The first one is benzodiazepines and the second one is non-benzodiazepine. Both types can be used to treat insomnia issues but many of them can be used for other types of sleep disorders. Many of these medications should only be used for shorter periods of time, or they can cause addiction.

If you decide to use medications that are non-benzodiazepine, you will learn that they prove to be much less addictive and safer. Some of these medications are Lunesta, Sonata and Ambien.
